The House of Varaz has several important holdings in the Southeast sector of Zagros Prime. Preeminent among those are the two Hydro plants on the Ravaratwa river, providing power to Port Dara and the lowlands along the coast. The Upper Hydro plant was the target for Imperial forces to seize with Kasrkin elements from the 94th Cadian during the opening phases of the Compliance.
The Regent of House Varaz is LtCol Parviz “Dagger” Abdi. As eldest heir of his assassinated parents, he could have legally taken charge of the House of Varaz, but instead, styles himself as a temporary Regent and caretaker. Parviz is also the commanding officer of 31 Squadron of the Zagros Defense Forces, currently operating the Hind-Valkyrie, a local variant.

Along with Parviz, the House of Varaz has a second heir, Lieutenant Dunia “Witch” Abdi who is a junior pilot in 31 Squadron of the ZDF.
